Our Mission
A Different kind of Ministry
Whole People – Whole World serves to help people experience God’s work in restoring our individual spirits, souls, and bodies and to learn about God’s sovereign plan for the Restoration of All Things. We share biblically based concepts coupled with truths that God has revealed through life experiences. Our hope is to be enablers for healing and spiritual growth in a practical, compassionate, and Christ-centered way.
Our mission is rooted in the scriptural teachings that emphasize the healing of individual people in spirit, soul, and body, as well as God’s plan for all people as He reconciles all things to Himself on a corporate level.1
How are we different?
We love seeking and sharing truth and we believe that the “whole truth” is sometimes much different than the “truth” that we thought we knew based on what we learned growing up.
Working in the classified world of the government’s defense and intelligence programs showed me one thing for sure: What you heard while growing up, and what you were taught in school were not always the whole truth and nothing but the truth. In the Defense and Intelligence industry, the truth is often hidden on purpose so as to protect “sources and methods from enemies;” sometimes it was hidden because of hidden agendas; and other times it was hidden simply because it was lost in a sea of bureaucracy.
It turns out that when it comes to losing track of truth, regular life is not much different than government work. Over time, and for a variety of reasons, the truth can become warped and/or lost entirely. We have to be objective and discerning in hearing new ideas or we are doomed to miss (or ignore) the truth when it just doesn’t line up with what we’ve always believed before. And once your understanding is opened to a life changing new view of the truth, you simply can’t just put that light under a bushel.
At Whole People – Whole World, we are committed to lifting the bushel and sharing the light of truth as we best understand it. We reserve the right to be wrong and will readily change our message if a better understanding of truth is revealed to us. All we ask is that you honestly and objectively consider that which we share and see how it settles out in your mind / heart.
About Us
Rob and Dena met in college while attending the Pennsylvania State University. Rob completed a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Dena completed a bachelor’s degree in Individual and Family Studies before going on to complete a master’s degree in clinical social work at Bryn Mawr College.
They have been married for 37 years and have been blessed with four sons ranging in age from 15 to 33. Rob worked for 36 years on Satellite Communications Programs in the Defense and Intelligence industry before retiring in 2022. Dena worked in the field of social work with a focus on families and early childhood development until transitioning her focus to their home and family with the birth of their first son in 1992.
In their “current season” they share home school duties and backyard homesteading projects while prayerfully working on developing their ministry and trying to keep date night alive every Friday. They have diverse backgrounds, but those differences complement each other as they walk out their journey to learn God’s will and discover the “more abundant life” that Jesus came to give.1
Rob and Dena have been doing independent bible study for 30+ years, and their hope is to share what God has been revealing to them through prayer, study, and life experience.
